The month started with stiches in Nathan's head from a fall at school, a sukkot celebration and a trip to the apple orchard and pumpkin farm.While we were out at the apple field picking apples, Nathan had to use the bathroom. Since there wasn't one readily available, we
went into the woods where I allowed him to take care of business. When we got home later in the afternoon, I let the dogs out in the backyard and started to put away our apples and other treats, turned around to look for Nathan and he wasn't there. I looked in the backyard, and there he was, pants around his ankles peeing. AND THAT ISN'T THE FUNNY PART ----I brought him into the house to have a talk with him about what he was doing and realized Sela was missing. I ran out to the back yard and found her with her diaper off, dress pulled up and urine running down her legs!

I ran out to the back yard and found her with her diaper off, dress pulled up and urine running down her legs! We also went on a camping trip this month. It was Nathan and Sela's first camping trip. I broke out the tent, sleeping bag and all the other equipment and we went camping with 
Bubie, PopPop, Bubie Ruby, Aunt Teri and Uncle Jamie. I had no idea how tiring camping is with two kids and two dogs!!! Unfortunately, Nathan had yet another fall. It is not as bad as it looks in the pictures, most of what you see is dried blood that we hadn't yet washed because it kept bleeding. The kids had a great time! Sela loved playing with the sticks and running around and Nathan enjoyed his nature hike with PopPop and pointed out all the markers along the trail.

Nathan has enjoyed riding the two wheel bike PopPop bought him last year for Channukah now

He also has enjoyed watching and playing any type of sports from soccer and football to car racing and must wear one of his football jerseys or baseball shirts at all times, or at least have on his sports underwear! Nathan roots for both the Ravens and Redskins but our favorite team remains the DC UNITED! His favorite toys continue to be his cars and trucks and tractors, and he will sit in his room or in the playroom playing with them for hours on end. Nathan is enjoying school and there were less accident reports from his teachers this month! Nathan is learning about healthy foods and colors and has completed many art projects which decorate our house, and Bubie and PopPop's as well.

Sela is growing into a beautiful little girl. She has begun potty training and is doing a great job. She cannot wait to wear big girl panties and often will put a pair of Nathan's underwear on. Sela is such a girly girl and loves to play with Aunt Teri and Aunt Sherry's jewelry and carries a purse with her whenever she can get one past Mommy at the door. Sela loves her big brother and wants to do everything that he does. They play well together - not too many fights!
As the month comes to an end, we are getting ready for Halloween and school pictures.
