Easter Egg Hunt and Matzoh Balls

Last Sunday, Nathan and Sela joined the kids in the neighborhood for an Easter Egg Hunt. This was a first for my kids and they were very excited to find the eggs. Later that afternoon, we went home to make Matzoh Balls in preparation for Pesach.

As my kids are getting older, they don't like to stay still to have their pictures taken, so many of hte pictures I have from the Passover Sedar are of my neice Hollie and cousin Henry!

Sela was very excited to be wearing makeup (in preparation for her ballet recital in the spring) and was careful that it did not come off.

Another great weekend!

The weekend started off early on Friday afternoon when I surprised Sela at school to take her out early to attend a princess party.

She had a great time, dressing up in her princess dress complete with high heel shoes and jewelry. They made their own crowns with jewels and did other art projects, sang songs and had a parade.

After the party, off we went to Nathan's school where I had a meeting with his teacher. He is doing great in school and improved a great deal since the beginning of the year. We are all very proud of him!

On Saturday after ballet, some old friends came to visit. It was great seeing Scott and Jenn and the kids all got along and played together beautifully!

Sunday brought on another indoor soccer game - GO FORCE! Nathan did a great job. He scored two goals and played very aggressively, going for the 50/50 balls and not watching the game or waiting for the ball to come to him. He is becoming a very good player and it is such a joy to watch him play and have so much fun. He always has a smile on his face.

That evening we went to see Bret and Becca's new home - it is beautiful. We also celebrated Bret's birthday with dinner at Mi Rancho and were so happy when Seth, Aunt Sherry and Uncle Saul were able to join us!

We had a great weekend filled with princesses, ballet, friends, soccer and family!!

Penguin Day!

Nathan's class had been learning about penguins and they had a Penguin Party last Friday. Unfortuntately, I was not able to attend, but Aunt Teri and Cousin Hollie did!! The class dressed in black and white as penguins, sang a penguin song, read their reports on Penguins and ate oreo cookies. Here are a few pictures from Aunt Teri - THANK YOU!!

Blizzard Part 2

Hopefully this will be the final chapter on snow this winter!

Here are a few more pictures.

Shortly after this picture was taken early Wednesday morning, the snow really started coming down and the wind was blowing fiercely!

We stayed inside all day and the kids enjoyed pajama day.

Even the dogs had fun!

the following day, once we dug out of our driveway, the kids visited friends and did some sledding

Sela found herself a comfortable seat in the snow - it was on top of a 10 foot pile of snow and she liked being above everyone else!

Nathan is standing at the entry to the igloo that the other kids had dug out - they put American Flags above the entry way.

Nathan also got into a snowball fight with the older kids and had a great time!

I am glad they had so much fun, and hope that memories of snow will all we will soon be left with! :)

Let it snow, let it snow, Let it snow!

Oh the weather outside is freightful, but the fire is so delightful....
Yes, that is just over 31 inches!!

Nathan wanted to help shovel, but all he did was pose for a picture next to the shovel! Sela didn't even make it outside because I told her she MUST wear pants and she refused...such is the life of a princess!
